Heute nun ein paar Worte zu den Autos der 50er Jahre - größeren wie Mercedes und Packard sowie auch Panhard PL17, Käfer und hier nun dem Lloyd Alexander TS im Farbcode 8958, also gelb mit weißem Dach. Dieses Modell finde ich überaus gelungen vom Kühlergrill über die Blinker zu den Anschlägen der Kofferraumklappe, und bei geöffneter Selbstmördertür auf der Beifahrerseite fällt der Blick auf ein auch maßstabskonform sehr authentisches Lenkrad und Armaturenbrett, das aber wie auch im 1:1 Original eben weniger üppig bestückt ist als bei einem Horch, Maybach oder Mercedes. Auf der Türinnenseite sind Fensterkurbel und Haltegriff eingeformt, aber farblich nicht hinterlegt. Indem die Türen an der B-Säule angeschlagen sind, bieten sie auch eine erfreulich realistische Öffnung, wie sie bei der A-Säule formbedingt oft nicht geboten werden kann. Der Lloyd Alexander hat mit dem Brezelfenster-Käfer, dem 2CV, Juvaquatre, Goggomobil sowie der Isetta, dem Fuldamobil und dem Messerschmitt Kabinenroller auch als 1:18 Modell einige Alternativen in seiner Epoche, mir gefällt er aber so sehr gut.
