Goliath was a German automotive brand part of the Borgward group, known for its pioneering work with small cars and commercial three-wheelers. The brand was a technical innovator, producing the first series-production cars with gasoline direct injection in the 1950s (the GP700). While the brand disappeared following the Borgward collapse, its contributions to engine efficiency and compact vehicle design remain historically significant.
